Eight years ago today, Cobblestone got cut. The Courier opens for business.

April 20, 2018 — de_cbble quietly disappeared from the active duty map pool. No patch notes. No blog post. Just absent at the next update check.

We’ve spent eight years making peace with its absence. Today, on the anniversary, we launch the paper it always deserved. This site is not a grief monument. It’s a bet that the map comes back — and the pickem, coins, and collective you’ll need when it does.

Why now

The tools finally line up. CS2 has opened Workshop to ports of legacy maps. Fan-made recreations of Cobblestone are already on the Steam Workshop, several of them faithful enough to be drop-in replacements if Valve wanted to rotate the map back. Meanwhile, public CS2 match data makes it possible to build fantasy + pickem without scraping pro services.

What we’re building

Editorial. Pickem. Fantasy. DropShot (our browser mini-game). CourierCoins (non-cashable, community-only). All wrapped in a medieval-parchment brand that’s 100% deliberate — nobody in CS owns a visual niche, and we think the map’s lore deserves one.
